CNA - Caregiver - Whispering Heights

 

 

 

Full time, Day/Evening shift; hours vary

SUMMARY: The caregiver provides medical and physical care to the residents of the household to meet their daily needs and enable them to function at the highest possible level.  While this care is provided under the leadership of a professional nurse, the caregiver is the residents’ closest advocate in the household.  The caregiver promotes the residents’ psychosocial well-being through meaningful relationship building, and works with the household team to meet other social service needs of the resident and of the household, always providing support, friendship and kindness for each of the household members.  The caregiver plans and facilitates social activities for residents of the household which provide meaningful ways to spend time in recreation, exercise, relationship building and fun.  The caregiver also supports the household homemaker in his/her tasks.  All caregiver tasks are performed in accordance with current standards, guidelines and regulations in a safe and efficient manner.

Food Specialist - Dietary

Full time, Day/Evening shift; hours vary

The Food Service Specialist prepares quality food according to OBRA and state regulations for the customers of Hegg Health Center.  This includes, but is not limited to: residents, staff and patients.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:

  • Completion of safety and sanitation course, and modified diets course.
  • Completion of Food Prep Basics course also required

Director of Patient Care - Med Surg

RN Required

SUMMARY:  The Director of Patient Care Services is responsible on a 24 hour basis for planning, managing, operation, and delivery of acute care nursing and clinical services. Provides executive leadership for Patient Care Services. Accountable at the strategic level for planning, developing new services, policy formation, human resource management and organization, financial performance, patient care services operations, medical staff relations, and participation in strategic planning as a member of the Administrative Council. Provides expertise in program development, clinical standards development, clinical staff systems and care models, contracting, information systems, reimbursement and a broad vision of the future of the health care industry are essential to this position.

SUPERVISES: Responsible for supervision of employees in Acute Care Nursing, UR, Safety, Regulations, Quality Services, and Pharmacy departments.

 REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and/or Nursing Administration from four-year college or university required. Masters in Nursing or Health Care related discipline preferred.
  • Five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Radiologic Technologist - Radiology

 

 

PRN, Day Shift, includes weekend and holidays rotation

The Radiologic Technologist is primarily responsible to perform radiographic examinations without assistance.  The technologist will perform the examinations ordered that require independent judgement in applying ionizing radiation.  The technologist shall adhere to the departments “Code of Practice” and the “Code of Ethics for Radiologic Technologist and standards set by Hegg Health Center.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduate of an approved program of Radiologic Technology; and/or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:

  • Current valid registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or board eligibility required.
  • The technologist will posses an Iowa Permit to practice or be eligible.

Ultrasound Tech - Radiology

Full time

The Ultrasound Tech is responsible for performing ultrasonic diagnostic procedures for patients as ordered. This will be a shared position between Hegg Health Center in Rock Valley, IA and Sioux Center Health in Sioux Center, IA. Tech may reside in or near either community, but will be held to call-back requirements by the department.
