The Medical Lab Technician (MLT) collects, processes, and analyzes blood and various other body fluids by use of accepted laboratory techniques in order to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease as well as non-disease processes (wellness). Hours are primarily daytime shifts, but do include some weekend and holiday rotations, and on-call hours.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Associate’s degree of equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:
- Certified by American Society of Clinical Pathology
