Are you and your kids stuck at home and looking for something to do? Now is the perfect time to teach them about nutrition and cooking! March is National Nutrition Month, so we’ve put together a few healthy recipes for you and your kids to make together.
Not only is this a fun way to pass time, but cooking with your kids also teaches them a lot. Your child will learn some valuable life skills, but also be able to practice math, language, creativity and collaboration. In addition to that, your child will also have the chance to learn about kitchen safety and kitchen hygiene. You can also take this time to talk to them about the importance of eating healthy. Many children find satisfaction in eating a meal they helped make.
Here are some recipes recommended by our Registered Dietitian, Jennifer Lincecum. We hope you enjoy a delicious meal and the memories that come with making it together!
