Week 3 Mini Challenge: Sleep
This week’s challenge is sleep! You might ask, why are we doing a weekly challenge on sleep? Isn’t sleep the opposite of exercise and working hard? Well, in some ways yes. However, good health doesn’t just come down to eating and exercise – there are lots of things that contribute to our health! Getting good sleep is extremely important to our health. It allows our bodies to get the proper rest it needs so that it can be rejuvenated and re-energized for your daily tasks. If you lack the sleep that you need, your energy will be down and so will your production! Sleep also is pivotal for maintaining your metabolism and balancing your hormones. Furthermore, did you know that your body burns calories when you sleep? Yep, it does! While you sleep, your body actually burns about 50 calories an hour. So, this week, focus on getting good sleep and see if your body and mind is in better shape to be productive and energized during the day! All team members this sleep and can get additional points if completed! Some of you may have fitbits or other apps that actually track your sleep – you can use that if you’d like. Otherwise, if you don’t have a tracker, just manually keep track of it and turn it in! We expect honesty J.
